he is one of the better QB's around but he is also getting pretty old. and i think management is keen to give kolb a go. i think vick may leave as well. but who knows on that one.

Kolb is yet to be starter material.
Last year when he filled in for D-Mac he was average, when pressure got put on him he just kept going to DeSean which was easy for the defence, he doesn't think before he throws. Thats why McNabb needs to stay and help him out. Kolb is the future of the Eagles I have little doubt in that, but having him as starter instead of McNabb is a big step backwards.

VERY good pickup for the Browns today. Their extremely weak defensive back corps have been strengthened by Eagles CB, Sheldon Brown. Sheldon Brown has been one of the leading corners in the game for the last few years, even after being heavily targeted with Asante on the other side. The Browns also picked up linebacker Chris Gocong who is much better than what the browns have at linebacker.

On the other side, the Eagles picked up backup linebacker Alex Hall and the Browns 4th and 5th round picks. The Browns definately got the better side of this deal. They've traded 2 picks away but still have 10 left in the draft, so this has been a pretty big offseason from Holmgren and co.

This takes away any possibility of Haden being taken by Cleveland at pick 7. Eric Berry looks to be very likely to be taken there if availible.

Flozell Adams and Ken HAmlin ahve been cut from Dallas, Willie Parker is off the the Skins and Darren Sproles has signed a 1 year del with San Diego.

Mad Why did they give up Brown. Are they trying to destroy our defense.

I think Brown has been unhappy at the Eagles for a few years now. It was the reason they brought in Ellis Hobbs last offseason.

Yeah he was when he was behind Sheppard and Samuel.
But he almost made Pro Bowl last year.

Another strange call made by management.

McNabb to the Eagles for their 2nd round pick (Pick 36)

Big trade as the Eagles will now put their future in Kolb's hands. The Redskins now rule out any chance of picking up Bradford or Clausen in the first round and are now NFC East favourites, according to the article. This has strengthened the NFC East even more than it was before.

IMO, Kolb will go very well for the Eagles. As a first year starter, he will require a lot of help from McCoy and his playcallers so he isn't passing as much as McNabb has done in the last few years. This will put more pressure on Reid to perform with one of the best receiving corps and offensive lines in the league. The Eagles have clearly seen that they should have at least won one championship in the last decade, and that it is time to rebuild now that McNabb is close to finishing. Wether it is a good move, time will tell.

Mad Eagles management are seriously starting to f*** me off.
Why trade him to a rival team??
Just another stupid move that has been made in the last couple of years.

Hope Kolb will go well but I am not at all convinced he is ready to be a full time starter yet, another year under McNabb could have done him wonders.

Wouldn't be suprised, Holmes was out because of a possible suspension. Roethlisberger could get the same.

Sources: McNabb open to T.O. in D.C.

Intersting... didn't think McNabb would ever want to be teammates again. Could be a lethal combo if it were to happen.

Bump.

Former New York Jets defensive end and unrestricted free-agent Marques Douglas signs a two-year, $2.5 million contract with the Dolphins. The Jets were tipped to re-sign him but it turned out they had no interest in doing so. With Merling out for the season after tearing his Achilles tendon, it's good to see we got Douglas to fill that gap in our defensive line.

We have resigned Hank Baskett.
Indy released him at the end of last season and we have taken him back, he will probably be 4th or 5th choice. Behind DeSean, Maclin, Avant and maybe our rookie (who's name escapes me right now).

As you said in April, what are the chances that Roethlisberger actually gets traded from the Steelers. He is missing the first six games of the season and his off-field problems are really putting a dampener on the Steelers franchise.

If say Dennis Dixon gets the starting QB role over Leftwich and performs pretty well, could it be the right time to let Ben go? You could certainly get a handy package in return from another team willing to take a risk on Roethlisberger.

i dont think they will get rid of roethlisberger this year now.

but future years i wouldnt be surprised if we got rid of him. In saying that if he messes up again he is definitely gone. Pittsburgh likes to keep its name clean and proud and he would just be bringing up issues for the club.

also it depends greatly on what we get for him. if its like another holmes trade i would be so pissed off that i might kill someone Razz. but if we got a 1st round pick for him id almost be happy.

the steelers know what they are doing though. but he is skating on very thin ice atm.

He did. One thing he has over Leftwhich is that x-factor. Hopefully he gets the first six games of the NFL season and also the pre-season to prove himself.
