1. Submitting your team

1.1: Teams not entered on time will be penalised. They must be submitted at the same time as the NRL DT weekly deadline.

1.2: Teams must be realistic
1.2a: Petero Civoniceva or Mark O'Meley can not be playing in Fullback.

1.3: Name a Captain and a Vice-Captain. Your Captain will earn you double points.

1.4: When naming your team include the players initial.
1.4a: G.Inglis, K.Hunt, A.Watmough

2. Points System

2.1: The scoring system will be the NRL.com scoring system

Code:

Try 4 Points
Goal 2 Points
Field Goal 1 Point
Try Assist 2 Point
All run metres - Total metres run divided by 10, rounded down to nearest whole number
Line Break 2 Points
Line Break Assist 2 Points
Tackle 1 Point
Missed Tackle -1 Point
Offload 2 Point
Error -2 Point
Kick Metres - Total Metres gained kicking divded by 20, rounded down to the nearest whole number
Penalty conceeded -2 Point

3. End of season finals

3.1: Just like in the NRL, at the end of our season teams will fight it out in the finals.
3.2: TFW09 has both a top 8, and bottom 8 finals series.

4. Finalising a Team

4.1: A team must have at least 20 players

5. Admin Review of bottom four at end of year

5.1: This is teams that didn’t seem to not care for the season, who didn’t trade hard enough to improve their team or stay committed etc. etc.
5.2: The Admin has the power to sack you. Though if a team finishes on the bottom, although seemed to improve and tried they won’t be sacked. If a team finished 16th and traded like crap, they would probably be sacked.
5.3: The admin's decision is final, don’t whinge.

New Rules for 2011:

a) There will be no free agency and all players will be signed with a club.

b) Player postions – A player can only play in a position they are eligible for in nrl dreamteam or a position they are picked for that week in real life. Ie. Matt gillett dreamteam position (2nd row/lock) but he is picked in the centres for the broncos so he would be eligible to be played in 3,4,11,12,13 that week but if the following week he was picked for the broncos to play at 6, he would then be eligible for 6,11,12,13 and ineligible for 3,4. This is a way to make it easier to decide player positions rather than the loose way it has been happening.

c) Players on the bench can move into starting postions if there are late withdrawels as long as bench players meet the above requirements. Ie you have Cayless at prop and Kite on your bench Kite would start and your number 18 regardless say for example Luke Covell would move onto your bench. Thus making late withdrawals more realistic and again easier to manage. Although if you had merritt starting and withdrawn and no wingers on your bench but Covell at 18 he would go straight to the starting line up.

d) Manager/ coach points. Every team would have a head coach you would start the season with your clubs head coach ie. Dragons would have Wayne Bennett. Head coaches could be traded between clubs in nrlmg and if your head coach wins his real life game your nrlmg team would be given 50 points that week, A golden point loss 30 points, a loss 0 points. If you trade your head coach for, a player every week you don’t have a head coach named you would get 0 points.

Regarding rule C in 2011 rules, how many players outside the 17 can we name each week?

they shouldnt imo, seems pointless. should carry over like every other manager game.

Is there going to be squad cut down before the season starts? Like last season where I think it was top 25 players and the rest were delisted and we went into a draft.

Should we eliminate the coaches rule? Have not seen a single offer where a coach has been involved. I guess it's probably down to the fact we forget or there is no point.

So with all the rumours about Cronk being traded to Parra, how does that affect this game? Also what happens if Orford signs with Parra?

Ahh ok cool just was unsure of the ruling on it.

Apparently Cronk is chasing the money at Parra which would in turn keep Inglis at melbourne. Dont know the full story but im just hearing it going around

any player enetering the nrl (orford) would go to the club they sign with in real life.

Any player transfering between nrl clubs (say cronk to para) would have no effect on the game as cronk was a storm player at the start of the game and would still be a storm player unless transferred by the storm in nrlmg.
