Geez, all out for 98. Wtf was that. We had so much momentum but it's all gone now, well just about anyway. Must say, the over Hughes got 10 runs off was the only time I felt comfortable.

Oh well, 3 early wickets here please

England 0/103. Starting to get a handy partnership with Cook & Strauss (49 and 43 respectively), they lead by 5 runs with all wickets in hand.

Strauss gets his half-century. 127 partnership looking healthy.

Congrats to England. They were all over us today. Every Australian batsman got out caught behind, just goes to show the beautiful lines and lengths the English were bowling today.

I didn't see all of our bowling, but from what I saw it seems Australia has forgotten what line and lengths they were bowling in Perth.

Today was the day Hussey and Australia failed. It just shows how much he was carrying the top order. A score of 100-150 was always on the cards if Ponting/Clarke/Hughes couldn't find form. You have to say though, Anderson, Bresnan and Tremlett bowled very very well.

Australia going in with 4 seamers and no front line spinner was always going to be a stupid decision. I said it would be similar to the Oval last year where Australia really needed a spinner during the second innings. In this match it looks as if Australia will need a spinner for tomorrow and Tuesday if their seamers continue to bowl as they did today. Smith did bowl a couple of good balls, however he gave up the single to the batsman far to easily.

England can put the key to the trophy case away - the Ashes aren't going anywhere for another 3 years.

I know what your intentions are but the words you used sound a bit harsh towards Huss there.

What was harsh about it? he was Australia's middle order this series.

It's a dodgy one-liner if you left it that way and didn't elaborate.

The top order are the biggest culprits in this series for sure. To say Hussey failed first up is still cruel.

Siddle was the only Australian bowler that stood up today. You could tell Ponting was trying but just couldn't deliver.

Sad

Congrats to England on a fantastic bowling performance and then Strauss/Cook putting on a quality partnership thus far. Take nothing away from England, although what a let down from our mob on the biggest day of all on the Test calendar... disgraceful batting performance, those couple of wickets either side of drinks were massive for the Poms.

C'mon Aussies win back some fkn pride.
