^Pretty sure WA's international signings are Gayle + Mahmood, also think M Marsh could miss some of the competition through injury.

Hoping to see this XI take the field for QLD...

1. Lumb
2. Simpson
3. Carseldine
4. Lynn
5. Dunk/Reardon
6. Hopes
7. Neser
8. Hartley
9. Cutting
10. Rimmington
11. Swan

Others who will probably get a crack throughout the competition... Philipson, Floros, Boyce, McDermott, Feldman

ohkay, shit. Sucks though. Really was looking forward in Roach firing sheer pace and hitting the batsmen's elbows.

Don't think so.

As for Naved, IS playing for TAS. First thought was that he was banned from any form of cricket but it was just international.

Pumped for the first match starting tonight between WA and Tassie, looking at the teams it will no doubt be a close one. Hopefully Chris Gayle can put some big runs on the board as that would be very exciting for all to see that happen.. interestingly WA have brought former Aussie quick Mick Lewis out of retirement, he was a good player for the Vics a while back so looking forward to see how he goes. Tipping Tassie here though, have been one of the better teams in limited overs this season and have a very good all-round team.

Good luck to Mick Lewis, I hope he goes well.

Should be a cracking match tonight, hard to pick a winner. I'm liking Tassie because of their very balanced team but then again WA have some players that can change the game in just a few overs. I'm going to tip WA in a tight one.

I would just like to say how pathetic the signing of Mick Lewis is
I see the Big Bash as somewhere where you can give a young bloke a go who wouldnt usually get a game
And to bring someone out of retirement is terrible

Im sure Ryan Duffield would take the spot if it was given to him

on another point, I hope Prior makes ducks. I dont care if he is playing for us. He isnt Victorian so I dont have to support him

4.1

Lewis to Cosgrove, OUT, full on middle and he's bowled him, great start!

MJ Cosgrove b Lewis 13 (11b 0x4 1x6) SR: 118.18

Heh.

4.5

Lewis to Lockyear, OUT, short on leg, cramps him up and he completely mistimes the pull shot straight down Dorey's throat

RJG Lockyear c Dorey b Lewis 7 (4b 0x4 1x6) SR: 175.00

Sweet revenge.

What on over for Tassie, 23 off it.

That over puts Tassie well on top at 2/106 after 10 overs. Tim Paine is batting very well atm. Tassie looking like they can post a total of 200+ unless WA get some wickets quickly.

WA's fielding has been a bit sloppy, they've had quite a few run-out chances.

Ooh Tim Paine gets hit on the neck by a Dorey delivery, that must've hurt but Painey is all good.

Tassie still looking good despite the Birt wicket.

Lets see how Ten Doeschate goes in his first outing.

Bit stunned that Heal didn't played. He is one of our most economical T20 bowlers.

19.1

Dorey to ten Doeschate, OUT, good full ball on middle, steps across and flicks it to deep square leg, Beaton takes another catch, this time slightly easier

RN ten Doeschate c Beaton b Dorey 12 (9b 0x4 1x6) SR: 133.33

So much for him.

x2. In previous series he's bowled extremely well, I'm also suprised.

I've also got Heal in my fantasy side Sad But Beaton will replace him, who took 2 catches Very Happy

Anyway, WA did very well to restrict Tassie to 6/189. Gayle bowled very well as did Micky Lewis with 3 wickets.

But Tim Paine was superb, great innings. What a great catch by Beaton to remove him as well.

Game is 50/50 atm I reckon. WA definitely have the line-up to chase this down.

Well Krejza gets Marsh plumb LBW on the 3rd ball of the innings. Great start for Tassie. Marsh will be very disappointed.
