I had a good win in the Cup, but I don't think I'll progress any further. Next up I play some guy from Div II (#36 in Nation).

Nice work man - how's your team coming along, made some good purchases?

Yeah just a few, I've bought in four players thus far, mainly younger players.

I've had 4 ongoing injuries already this season
Maybe I just had a lucky run last season, but it feels like they've stepped up the injuries

They have stepped up the injuries, particularly making more chance of a somewhat lengthy one. Purpose is of course to promote more squad depth - fortunately mine hasn't been tested yet Smile *touch wood*

I have enough subs to not worry but there has to be a difference between 'necessary depth' and 'sucking the funds and fun out of the game because of something you couldn't control'.

heh its frustrating when you lose players. I lost 3 to ongoing injuries in my first match and I was playing WNWIM!
IMO as log as everyones suffering the same fate then it's ok. A couple of seasons ago all you needed were 15 players and you never had to think about changing positions unless they were under performing. Now we have the added challenge of building depth, whilst keeping salaries under control and working out how to rebalance teams when we've got a player out. IMO its made the game more interesting and that's a good thing.

Prodigy told me there were injuries to better players that weren't in the match so considering what I could've faced I was very, very lucky.

You're right there Rhae - the lack of real injuries and need to subs before set a precedent that people are just now starting to really come to terms with. It's making the game far more realistic and challenging.

Epic Fail Dot ... 14 5 Kentrosaurus RFC

Fair enough. Copped three temporary injuries but those players are pathetic anyway.

Wyatt Jarvis
18 years old | 3,372 CSR | 185 cm | 117 kg | Australia
Right handed, right footed, in satisfactory form, and supercharged energy levels.
An aggressive player with flawless discipline, average leadership, and non-existent experience.
Stamina: Limited Handling: Moderate
Attack: Moderate Defense: Decent
Technique: Moderate Strength: Average
Jumping: Moderate Speed: Non-Existent
Agility: Limited Kicking: Limited

The reporter summaries come through for me yet again.

Theodore Melk: Agility to 7
Colin Mills: Handling to 9; Strength to 6
Jeremy Sorrell: Technique to 8

Why are my pitiful players getting pops? *Growls*

You need to shuffle your YA around and see where your players get the mosts stars - pull them based on that; and try to make sure that you leave newly scouted players for like a season to gain IGT...

The stars give a rating for that player in that position - so a player might earn 4 stars at No.8, but only 2 1/2 stars at centre for example. When they get the green tick, that implies that that's the position where they'd earn the most stars. Of course that does NOT necessarily mean that's there best position, but it gives you an idea of their skills. Until last week, height and weight were taken into account as well which caused forwards to earn much higher ratings than backs of similar skill.

So you shuffle your YA players around, find how many stars players get in what positions and pull the ones that look promising.

I just got into the Locke Harbour Cup (a primarily Canadian comp). Awesome.

I should be gone by the real Cup by the time it starts.
