"Eli
Manning's injured right heel has gotten worse, and if that trend
continues, the Giants might have to consider shutting him down. The
Giants' $106.9 million quarterback has a "stress reaction" on a bone in
his right foot, according to multiple team sources, which puts him in
danger of suffering a stress fracture. If that happens, the injury
would almost certainly end his season."

"The
Falcons' win over Tampa Bay came at a considerable price. Over the
course of the game, quarterback Matt Ryan, running back Michael Turner,
guard Harvey Dahl and, depending on whom you ask, offensive tackle Sam
Baker all left the game with injuries. Their prognoses for Sunday's
game against Philadelphia and beyond are uncertain. Ryan was out after
the first series with a toe injury on his right foot, replaced by Chris
Redman. Turner left in the third quarter after reinjuring his right
ankle. Dahl and Baker left in the first half. According to a press box
announcement, Dahl injured his right ankle and Achilles tendon

After the match with the Bucs Ryan and Turner came out injured

"AS
BAD AS IT was before, it got even worse. The Eagles, already reeling
from injury issues, might visit Atlanta on Sunday without the services
of Donovan McNabb's top two targets. Slim receiver DeSean Jackson
yesterday took a powerful shot to the upper body from Redskins crusher
London Fletcher. Jackson caught a ball over the middle and was hammered
by Fletcher, who outweighs Jackson by about 70 pounds. Jackson left the
game with a concussion with 7 minutes, 21 seconds to play in the third
quarter, and did not return. Later in the game, tight end Brent Celek
was seen on the sideline, having his left hand taped. Celek said after
the game he might have torn ligaments in the hand

Eagles could go into atlanta without Celek and Jackson

Atlanta will probably be without Turner and Ryan as well. I can see Philly winning since Ryan has more of an impact on his team that Desean.

DeSean is a great big-play threat, but Maclin is very similar. For me, the injury to Celek is a bigger concern because having a legit tight-end is so important in terms of retaining possession on short routes and providing a big red-zone target.

Looks like McCoy might play a bigger part in the passing game this week. I expect to see plenty of screen passes and short hitch routes where usually you'd see a pass to Celek.
