Adelaide has a International Super 7's contest. I would say it is similar. Held at the Adelaide Oval The Adelaide Sevens involves 16 international teams competing for points that go towards the International Rugby Board (IRB) Sevens series. The 16 teams are split into 4 pools. Following completion of all the pool matches, the first and second placed teams in each pool progress to the Cup Championship. The third and fourth placed teams of each pool progress to the Bowl Championship with all teams moved into a knockout phase. The winners of each game move into semi finals and then finals. Each team is made up of 12 players; seven on the field during the match, with a reserve bench of five. Each game runs for 2 x 7 minute halves with a 2 minute half time; the final game of the tournament is 2 x 10 minute halves.

Fast and high scoring. Unions version of Twenty/20 cricket.

Kenyan's are actually pretty awesome at 7's rugby, and they're often a crowd favourite.

Underdogs FTW!!!! but only when they're not playing NZ. The Kenyan's can run very fast but do have a weakness on defence.

But NZ crushes everyone not just the underdogs like the Kenyan's or USA etc. Heineken Hottest 7s of the World 478956

Yes well, i dont think NZ even made an appearance at the Hottest 7s, and it was invitational teams Borneo Eagles and URL Samurai who were in the final. Borneo Eagles took out the title surprising the top 3 seeded teams South Sea Drifters, Wakimbizi 7's from Kenya and the Aussie Spirit.

Fiji are the kings of sevens IMHO and our sevens team is easily the most loved sporting team by the Fijian public and media.
I'd love to go to the Adelaide 7's one year though and witness some live action of the 7's.

Fiji kings of sevens?? I don't think so mate. NZ have won 8 of the last 10 IRB Sevens World Series, Fiji just the 1.

haha yeah i said it as a biased fijian, NZ are clearly the most dominant sevens side which i do respect and are hands down the best rugby sevens team without a doubt.
