PostSubject: Your Team Player Ratings for 2010   Your Team Player Ratings for 2010 Icon_minitimeSat May 15, 2010 7:42 am

Rhys Wesser 6.5 (Shown glimpses but is surely past his best looks like he's lost alot of pace to even recently when he was at the Panthers)
Nathan Merritt 7 (Is up there with the top try-scorers again, Holding his own)
Beau Champion 8 (still question is ability to make breaks in general play but his hole running has been impressive this year and knows how to finish a try within close range)
Colin Best 6.5 (Solid in defence, But doesn't really offer anything of significance in attack)
Fetuli Talanoa 6.5 (Still some horrible misreads in defence but can score tries despite any obstacle making it near impossible).
John Sutton 7 (I question his urgency in defence and looks like he is only playing 2nd gear in attack, no doubting his talent i think his personality is too laid back for a main role, although having the most attacking assists in the comp)
Chris Sandow 6 (His defence is of a slight improvement but still offers no sort of fluent kicking game and fails to take the line on himself often)
Roy Asotasi 6.5 (Still isn't reaching the heights of the player he was at the bulldogs, I think his contract is a little too much based on his performances at SSFC, Hoping the return of Mick Crocker may have some influence in Roy's individual game)
Issac Luke 9 (Couldn't be happier with Issac atm, he is a monster defender pound for pound and playing 80 minutes has been a blessing for him and the club, Looks dangerous in pretty much any burst out of dummy half he has this year)
Luke Stuart 6.5 (I can tell he is slowing down with a reduced work-rate in defence, but still does the job for us, Still makes over 100 metres a game however I think Petty will have to get his chance for a starting spot soon enough)
Dave Taylor 7 (Only really hit his straps a couple of weeks ago, still only a shadow of a player he showed in his form killing spree at the backend of last year with the Broncos but I think he will be pumped for this weekend as he is confident of an origin call-up if he can produce something, Dave still is a worry in defence and still probably not as fit as Souths would like, But he has shown to be damaging on the fringes recently)
Sam Burgess 7.5 (Despite not setting the world on fire just yet, Sammy hasn't done alot wrong, He's been involved in defence and he make the metres satifactory, Still waiting for his offloading game to come into fruition and being a bit more damaging and forming combination with John Sutton on the right edge).
Ben Lowe 8 (One of the most improved players in the NRL, Lowey is a replica of a David Stagg type of player as he gets involved in running the ball up and in the tackling department, His service to us this year has been invaluable).

Garrett Crossman 5.5 (Noticeable improvement from 2009 however still has un-necessary errors in his game)
Shannan McPherson 6 (Solid bench player)
Eddy Pettybourne 6.5 (Has been injured so hasn't really had much chance to showcase himself, although he was one of our best players against the Sea-Eagles with 140 metre gain from his runs)
Jason Clark 5 (Offers basically nothing at this time with his 15 minute stints, Has hands like rubber and the game plan with Clark running off players isn't working)
Scott Geddes 6.5 (Has arose as a solid NRL player, pretty happy with his efforts this year)

David Tyrrell, Junior Vaivai and Luke Capewell haven't played enough games for me to give a worthwhile analysis on their games

Ben Farrar 7.5
Solid this year, bit iffy under the high ball. Has chimed at the back well, replacing Brett exceptionally.

Michael Robertson 7.5
Robbo is always excellent. Does his job and never fails at giving his all.

Steve Matai 7.5
Skivvi has been great. Defence is brutal and attack is great.

Jamie Lyon 9
Jamie, imo, has been the best Manly player all year. Everything he does is gold. Love him in the centres, such an awesome player.

Tony Williams 6.5
Tony has been ehh. Needs to use his size more.

Kieran Foran 8.5
Fozza has lead the team like he has played over 200 games. Handling things with ease, and I have no doubt that if he was Aussie/NSWelshman, he would easily be the NSW #6

Trent Hodkinson 8
Hokko has had a great series of matches at 7. Growing stronger with each game, the best is yet to come from Trent.

Jason King 8.5
Kingy has been our best forward. Leads the pack well, always direct.. Co Captain and rightly so.

Matt Ballin 8.5
Matty is Matty. Never fails to deliver, always gives his all, a great leader of the team and sparks the squad from his runs outta dummy half. Short listed for the #9 for QLD and deservedly so.

Josh Perry 7
Josh, I have been a tad disappointed with. Playing ok, made the AUS Squad, yet I think more is to come off this big bloke.

Anthony Watmough 7.5
Choc is the same. Been playing quite well of late, and knowing him he will burst soon with his explosiveness, a great assest.

Shane Rodney 8
Shane I have loved having in the backrow. Hard runs, great tackler.. underrated.

Glenn Stewart 8
Stewwa has been his usual self, his great runs, good D and ball playing ability. Like many others, the best is yet to come.

Brent Kite 7.5
Kitey I ahve enjoyed watching this season. Last year he didnt have the best of years, but this year is being the forward we know - great bursts from the bench.

Chris Bailey 6
Nothing special from Chris this year. I expect/hope for him to lift.

Joe Galavou 6
Joe has been alright. Good runs from the bench.

Matt Cross 7.5
Matty has been a good buy from Melbourne. A few tries, some good bursts also.

Darius Boyd 9
Brilliant start to the season every time the dragons use a play involving him in it, it always looks dangerous.
Brett Morris 8.5
Once again 1st in the top tryscorer list great start and where gonna see more of it.
Matt Cooper 8.5
That left hand side has been amazing for the dragons involving cooper, Cooper is starting to score tries now aswell. NSW centre
Beau Scott 7.5
I find him one of the best defending centres in the game might of had a shot at origin if he didnt get injured.
Jason Nightingale 7
Doing a terrific job in replacing Sailor.
Jamie Soward 6.5
Hasnt been really that special this year, im still waiting for that form to hit.
Ben Hornby 6.5
Same as last year and very consistant
Michael Weyman 9.5
By far our best prop and one of the most meter gaining prop in the game.
Luke Priddis 7
Doing a great job filling in for Nathan Fien.
Dan Hunt 6
Great tackler but does stupid mistakes.
Jeremy Smith 7.5
Strong player with aggresion one of my favourite for the dragons. But not the best this year.
Ben Creagh 8
Awesome running game, plays at 2nd row but acts like a centre with the ball and a lock in defence.
Dean Young 8
Good start to the season and suits Lock perfectly just what we need this year, Stepping up in defence. And plays a 2nd reciever at times.
Matt Prior 7
New position at prop but still hasnt got much game time at that position, doing a good job at centre.
Trent Merrin 7
Good young talented player who give it 100% when he gets on the field, like to see him in the future representing the Red V.
Jon Green 6
Nice impact player, with lots of years left in him.
Trent Merrin 7
A player that can play any position.

1. Ben Farrar 7 (Doing very well filling in for Brett Stewart, still a bit shaky under the high ball but he has set up plenty of tries with his superb involvement in set plays)
2. Michael Robertson 7.5 (Has been super consistent, scored the most tries of anyone else in our side and is very solid in defense. Rewarded with a spot in the Country line-up)
3. Jamie Lyon 9 (In career best form at the moment, seems to be excelling in his new captaincy role and both his attack and defence have been solid, Australian rep)
4. Steve Matai 8 (Another in career best form, he has made great metres out of dummy half, scored some good tries and is hitting harder than ever)
5. Tony Williams 7 (Improved heaps on last season, is in the top five for tackle breaks in the comp and has also been a prominent try scorer, with a hattrick against the Dragons)
6. Kieran Foran 8.5 (Absolute superstar, equal third in try assists this season and is a rock in defence. Has recently started to take more of a playmaking role and has a mean step)
7. Trent Hodkinson 7.5 (Come out of seemingly no-where, I think we are a better side with him at halfback instead of Orford. High involvement in defence and his kicking in general play has been solid)
8. Jason King 8 (Does the hard yards early and returns to the field later for similar affect. Making fantastic metres and is proving to be a great co-captain. Bolter for NSW in Origin)
9. Matt Ballin 8 (Transformed into an 80-minute player this season and is playing the best footy of his life. Averages just under 40 tackles a game and would be a handy replacement at hooker for QLD if Smith is ruled out)
10. Josh Perry 7 (Was in some very good form a few weeks ago but other than that hasn't really done much. Still made the Australian squad and is helping our go-forward this season)
11. Anthony Watmough 7 (Isn't close to his form of 2009, but is improving with each game played. Expecting him to get back to his form of last year in the coming weeks)
12. Shane Rodney 7 (Very underrated player, does his job in the team superbly. Makes plenty of good tackles and is a strong runner of the ball, is also staying on the park for the first time in years)
13. Glenn Stewart 8 (One of our safest and most reliable players, making lots of tackles and is carrying the ball up well. Very strong chance to be lining up for NSW in Origin 1)

14. Joe Galuvao 5.5 (Hasn't got as many minutes as he would have liked but is playing his part, strong runs off the bench and helping out in defence)
15. Brent Kite 6 (Still not sold on him yet, playing much better than last season but isn't really setting the world on fire. Hopefully he can keep up the improvement)
16. Matt Cross 6.5 (Great find from the Storm, making good metres off the bench and showing some toughness in defence)
17. Chris Bailey 5 (Not really doing much for us, hasn't met expectations we had when signed from Newcastle and he should be playing in the ressies once Rosey is back)

1. Shannon Gallant 7 (Was dynamic in attack, but was very weak in defense)
2. John Williams 5 (Caught out in defense on numerous occasions)
3. Ashley Graham 5.5 (Has had solid defense for a few games this year, but majority he has been poor)
4. Willie Tonga 9 (Has been one of our best, is always an attacking threat and should be a certainty QLD)
5. Michael Bani 3 (No comment)
6. Grant Rovelli 4 (Played 1 solid game against the Roosters, other then that has been rubbish)
7. Johnathan Thurston 8 (Has been solid all year, led us to a couple of wins and close comebacks. Hopefully will get much better)
8. Matthew Scott 8.5 (Has lifted his minutes and workload this year considerably, may play for Queensland)
9. Aaron Payne 7 (Shit start to the year, has been okay the last couple of games though. Nothing special)
10. Antonio Kaufusi 6.5 (Solid but not spectacular. Has improved from last year, though.)
11. Scott Bolton 9 (Has been amazing this year. Knack for try scoring, 30 tackles, 100 metres a game and has an offload. Brilliant player)
12. Willie Mason 7.5 (Has had a couple of cracker games, but has been solid other then that)
13. Luke O'Donnell 7 (Has been suspended for a while and got a minor injury. Should be back to his best soon

14. Anthony Watts 7.5 (Great dummy half running game, aggressive but can over do it at time)

1. Ryan 7 (Been impressed with Ryan this year. Moved to fullback and looks a good one)
2. Tuqiri 9 (Probably buy of the season)
3. Ayshford 7 (He gets the job done)
4. Lawrence 8 (Very solid in both attack and defence)
5. Fitzhenery 5 (Hasn't done a thing all year besides stand on the wing. Hasn't even scored a try this year)
6. Marshall 8.5 (Has been pretty good, but needs to be more consistant
7. Moltzen 8 (Look what happens when he's out)
8. Gibbs 8.5 (Very solid season. He gets the job done)
9. Farah 9 (He's got to be in the top 5 players in the league)
10. Galloway 8 (Should be playing for NSW when he comes back from injury)
11. Payten 7 (Brings some valuable experience to our pack)
12. Ellis 9 (Been in good form. It'll crush us if he gets injured)
13. Heighington 7 (He's been doing well this seaon, nothing outstanding)

14. Fulton 9 (In the form of his life)
15. A Fifita 7 (Still young, and has heaps of potential. Been solid in 2010)
16. Moors 6.5 (Pretty good this year. Nothing to write home about though)
17. Flanagan 8 (Been very impressed with his form. Looks the goods)

1. Lachlan Coote 8.5
Wow, Lachlan Coote really surprised me this season. He's great under the high ball and that's where he got most of his 11 tries to season. He puts his 'new-built' body on the line everytime and has been one of our best this season so far. No surprise he got a call up to be City fullback.

2. Michael Gordon 7.5
Flash Gordon has been really solid for us this year. He's a tireless runner of the ball and his goalkicking is yet again, impressive. Hopefully Penrith would re-sign him in the near future.

3. Michael Jennings 7.0
To be honest, I would of have expected more from Jennings. He really needs to get his hands all the ball much more often and his try scoring tally shows that this season, only crossing the line three times.

4. Adrian Purtell 7.5
Purtell is our only new recruit that has been a regular starter from Round 1, injury-free. Purtell is strong in defence and has been magnificent for us so far this season.

5. Shane Elford 6.5
Only has played a handful of games so far this season so I don't know much. Apparently he has been outstanding in the lower graders and hopefully, he'll continue that into first grade. A very experienced winger.

6. Travis Burns 7.0
Burns has been great for us this season, he takes a bit of pressure of Walsh from all the kicking. Burns has also provided us with much more needed creativity when we're close to the tryline.

7. Luke Walsh 8.0
I'm so glad that we have finally locked up Walsh for three or so more years. Walsh has been awesome for us and his kicking game has improved greatly, thanks to Brandy. Still needs to work on his defence, but other than that, I'm happy with him.

8. Tim Grant 8.0
Grant has probaly been the biggest surprise for me this season from Penrith. He runs hard and tackles hard every game. Huge improvement from last year, where he struggled to get onto the first grade bench.

9. Kevin Kingston 8.0
So happy we got him off Parra. Kingston has been solid for us and really replaced Aiton comfortably. He provides us with that extra creativity around the middle.

10. Petero Civoniceva 9.0
I'm thrilled that he signed with us for a further two years. Your Team Player Ratings for 2010 Icon_biggrin Your Team Player Ratings for 2010 Icon_biggrin Your Team Player Ratings for 2010 Icon_biggrin

11. Trent Waterhouse 8.0
Missed the first three games I think? We really missed him then but when he came back, we got that extra grunt that we were lacking. Strong runner and a strong defender.

12. Frank Pritchard 7.0
Frank the Tank has been alright this season, but he hasn't really hit form yet.

13. Luke Lewis 9.5
IMO, Lewis has been our absolute best this season. He is a 'must' for the NSW side, whether it's lock, second-row, centre or whatever, he can cover every position. His got solid defence and a good ball runner as well.

14. Masada Iosefa 6.5
15. Matthew Bell 6.5
16. Nathan Smith 7.0
17. Sam McKendry 7.5

18. Joesph Paulo 7.5
