Well we are 12 rounds into the 2010 season and we have a pretty good idea who has been a good buy and who has been a bad buy.

Who do you think has been the Best Buy this season?

Kevin Kingston has really been the Panthers most consistent player this season thats why I voted for him.

Because some people find them as the best buy and some find them as the worst mate.

I would say:

1. Burgess
2. Mason
3. Taylor
4. Tiquiri
5. Carney

It might not show in the stats, but Burgess has been great for us. Puts in every week, racking up good metres and has been punishing in defence. He was also the main factor in both of Wesser's and Suttons tries v Penrith. Players like Pritchard, Purtell and Burns made mistakes when letting these tries in solely because of the fact that Burgess was an option with the short ball and would have needed more than one defender to contain his power and footwork.

Mason has definitely ressurected his career in North Queensland and has been great in many games this year. He's looking like he did for the Dogs only a few years back and has warranted a return to talks of him playing for his state again.

Taylor started off slow but has scored 4 tries in his last 4 games in the red and green and to be honest I was fearing him not catching his late 2009 form with our history of signings. He has proved me wrong being able to take the hit ups up the middle and cause havoc on the finges. Earnt his QLD selection and IMO playing the best football of his career.

Both Tiquiri and Carney got off to good starts but haven't been to consistent of late. Tiquiri hasn't been getting the ball he recieved in the first few rounds and its really only his inside men to blame for this. Carney has been great in some games but exposed at fullback for others.

I reckon Kingston. He was pretty instrumental in an un-heralded way last year in Parra's success off the bench.
He's giving Penrith some quality dummy ball, and has improved I reckon, now getting a starting spot.

Probably Burgess to the Rabbits. He's consistant and is a nightmare for opposing teams. I'd love to have him at the Tigers. He never gives up and doesn't stop until the jobs done.
Well done to the Rabbits by signing him

Todd Carney for me, he has been great for the Chooks and provides them with more variety of plays and takes the pressure off from the halves. His position switch from halfback to fullback was a success and now the Roosters look much more of a dangerous side.

I disagree, in some games this year. He has been totally abysmal. Against the Bulldogs was a primary example.

He is far too in-consistent, a reason why he hasn't made origin yet, even in his time at canberra, he has majorly in-consistent

Still hasn't reached the media hype of his arrival at Bondi imho.

Imo, still hasn't reached the hype of

No, I don't think Burgess has even hit his straps yet in the NRL. Dave Taylor would be up there, He did struggle earlier on but that was due to a knee injury in the off-season he was recovering from.

My choice would be Liam Fulton. He is definately one of the most under-rated forwards in the NRL and I can't imagine his sign-on fee being that much...He is a top player and I've always rated him before he left the Tigers for England, He makes and breaks tackles, can bend the line especially from inside the attacking 20 zone and he is a born leader, I see him talking on the field as an experienced man and all I think about is, He will be Tigers captain one day.

Super player and is just going to get better.

and Just adding to that, He is what NSW needs, a solid defender with ability to break the line, He'd be a great bench impact player in the big ring. I'd relate him to being a NSW Michael Crocker.

Fulton has only played like 7 games this season, how is he the best recruit so far? I think it's Carney personally.

It's not how many games he has played mate, It's his leadership and his quality of football, 7 games is still the majority of the rounds played this year.

Fulton is a consistent footballer that can play attack and defence and is very aggressive, a type suited for Origin football.
