Sutton is potentially the best Lock/Back Rower in the game. A backrower with ball skills/offload ability.

WTF IS IT WITH YOUR MAN CRUSH OF JOHN SUTTON ???

SAM THAIDAY WOULD WIPE HIS BACKSIDE WITH SUTTON EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK

You seem to have this idea in your head that Back rowers and Locks SHOULD be ball players

I guess you got a point there, Sutton could still play back-row or in the Centres.

I'd rather have TLL, I seriously reckon he's a machine! NSW needs more TLL Smile Lewis can always cover in the centers, that guy can play anywhere.

And with Sutton, Lewis and Carney all on the bench they'd definitely be lacking a couple of big boys. I mean look at QLD bench for Origin 2. Hannant, Costigan, Taylor that is a lot of beef!

They have to stick with the core of the team (1. Hayne, 6.----, 7. Pearce, 9. Ennis) for a few series.

Five Eighth I think should be Campese. I do believe he was hard done by last year, he was partnered with Wallace and they didn't really compliment each other.

I agree, I think it's time Campo got another shot...well more than a shot maybe a series.

What does everyoen think of Weyman?
I find him a tough, good player yet I reckon he should start on the bench.

1.Jarryd Hayne
2.Brett Morris
3.Josh Morris
4.Beau Scott
5.Josh Dugan (bit risky)
6.Todd Carney
7.Mitchell Pearce
8.Michael Weyman
9.Michael Ennis
10.Luke Douglas
11.Nathan Hindmarsh
12.Anthony Watmough
13.Paul Gallan

14.Luke lewis
15.Tom Learoyd-Lahrs
16.Kade Snowden
17.Luke O'Donnell
18.Greg Bird

Win or lose, NSW need to try to keep a similar team for an extended period of time. I think this team would work well. It has a mix of youth, experience and hard aggressive origin style players.

Dugan is a bit of a risky pick on the wing as I don't know how he would go defensively. But if he is up to it then I think it would be a perfect time to get him ready for the #1 jersey in a year or 2. He is tough as, extremely talented and I think if he can get a bit of origin experience on the wing before making the #1 jersey his own it could help him a lot.

Personally, I would have stuck with Kimmorley for the rest of the year but NSW made the decision to ditch him and go with Pearce. This means they need to stick with him now.

I would like to have Barrett keep the #6 but theres been rumours about him retiring so I think they need to go with someone who will be there in years to come. No one really stands out as an obvious replacement though... It came down the Campese and Carney for me, and I ended up going with Carney as I think he is slightly more talented, plus he has been playing with Pearce all year and a halves combo of Carney and Pearce is looking likely for years to come now that Anasta has been moved to lock.

I reckon for the dead rubber, have Michael Gordon (he is on the radar to replace Tahu) and Jennings on one side in the backs and the Morris brothers on the other.
So it will look like this:

1. Hayne
2. Gordon
3. Jennings
4. J.Morris
5. B.Morris

I was considering that. Wouldn't mind it TBH.

After watching NRL on Fox last night it sounds like Jamie Soward's chances are getting better by the minute

This.

If Douglas doesn't get picked it's just another stupid decision. He should have been picked ages ago, such an underrated player that doesn't get acknowledged.

Gordon has had a good season, but I think its a bit premature putting him in Origin. Yes its a dead rubber and there's nothing to lose, but its stupid to be throwing players in there that aren't ready. His defence isn't up to Origin level, and that's the same with Uate. Merrit deserves it over the both of them.
