the most consistent IMO is Luke Patten puts a performance week in week out

Inglis - but fortunately when he isn't at his best he still plays quite well. Only if he performed week in week out he would be so much better

Sutton definitely takes out the least consistent. Never wants to have a go when the going gets tough unlike our other halves in Sandow and Luke. I'm hoping he can do some work with Freddy, that should get his mindset right.

Pretty sure Frank Pritchard is the least consistent player. He has a blinder 1 in 15 games, pushes his 2007 form, otherwise he is hopeless

I reckon Pritchard is less consistent than Sutton, Pritchard is argubly one of the laziest defenders in the game as a forward but when he's on his game, he's very hard to stop. For consistency, Nathan Merritt, Corey Parker, Paul Gallen and Petero Civoniceva are all standouts for me

Surprised no one hasn't mentioned benji marshall, he has been handed the inconsistent tag over the last few seasons but i wouldn't say he's as bad as the likes of sutton or pritchard imo and he has improved quite a bit with consistency.

If you were half as smart as a moron, you should of said
"did you not watch how he played the whole season so far?"
Hence, my answer would of been quite reasonable. Don't Judge a player by how he played "on saturday night." He's inconsistent.

No mention of Feleti Mateo for least consistent. I suppose next year he'll be consistently awesome for the Warriors Smile

That's bewildering and one of the most ridiculous calls i have heard, how can one be consistent when he is one of the worse defenders in the competition and his side is running 3rd last.

On top of that, He too often goes missing, and if he is on his game, he only plays one good half a game, then goes missing again.

Thurston may not be the least consistent player in the comp, but there is no way in kooee range that he is the most consistent, but he is probably the least consistent player when it comes to playing a game by halves.

JT is the most consistent player in the comp. The Cowboys coming last shows no indication of how consistent JT is. He may be a bad defender, but his team around him has been dead set shit this year. If you played any other halfback in the comp at the Cows this year, I almost guarantee you they would not go half as good as JT has this year.

You can plonk one of Slater, Inglis, Cronk or C. Smith and take out JT we would still fail.

Next year with new signings should be a different story

According to my Nrl fantasy team, JT averages 50 pts (judging by his real life performances) per game. For those who are not familiar. 50pts is a big score, espeicially for a 5/8. Brenton is spot on^^

I think most people think he's inconsistant because the Cowboys are coming last. That when all the confusion starts. I mean the sharks might play like shit, but that doesnt mean Paul Gallen is

The Cowboys are last! What is that saying about Thurston?.
The Cowboys cannot get any worse then they are atm, and It's about time fans of
the cowboys stopped blaming the poor position on Thurston's men and actually
admit that Thurston has to take ALOT of responsibility for the slide.

Thurston is an in-ept leader and organiser, poor defender, and totally
in-consistent in terms of playing a game by halves.

The Cowboys forward pack has been more then solid this year, as the platform
for JT to create things from, The Cowboys will NOT make the top 8 next year
based on their signings in the backs, Willie Tonga is a great centre and he
hasn't really put his hand up in a big way to combine with JT or assist the
team on his own, Tate and Winterstein will give the cowboys great options on
the fringes for when they do get a play right, But for gods sake they need a
half who will ACTUALLY take responsibility and not go off at referees for every
second decision that doesn't go his way, His job as their captain is to make
sure the team is composed and doesn't panic, JT going off at refs will just
make the team even more unsettled & feeling the pinch, a halfback who is a
great organiser that can direct the platform and will communicate with the
outside backs and for the backs to actually read a structure and not a blind
play, The cowboys in attack are like Souths of early 00's, They throw the ball
around in sheer hope something eventuates, That will not get them to the top 8
this year, the last two years previous and next year either.

I'm sorry; I just think JT is not patient and mentally tough enough to take on
a lead playmaker role. He just lacks the basics needed and he folds too easily
because he has no mental stability.

He shines in rep fixtures because of his halves counterpart, Lockyer is the
organiser for QLD and Australia,
& Thurston only has his own game to worry about, also not to discredit the
team Thurston has around him also.

I am saying now that there is ABSOLUTELY no way, JT is the best halfback in the
game, when he can't do the basics that the role entails in a teams perspective.

What a load of complete dribble.

JT is the best player in the game. F*** your stats, stats never tell the full story.

Our forward pack this year has been rubbish mate, no lateral movement, all they do is run straight and easy to go around as we struggle to defend laterally. The forwards have shit all confidence, shit all ball security and can barely even tackle. Our only consistent forward this year was Matty Scott and Willie Mason from about round 5 onwards. And this is JT's fault how?

With a shit team and no one around him, he has no choice to take the game with the scruff of the neck! He has no choice because no one has the ability to step up. And JT usually fails because his teammates just can't follow or keep up with him (usually to their shitness)

I really think you should learn from your LeagueUnlimited 'Pearce is better than JT thread' and learn from that. Cos mate you are just plain wrong.

JT can easily communicate with the backs.. but what backs? Pass to Willie Tonga. Who else is there to pass too when the rest of the backline is shit, playing a 5/8 at centre, a backrower on the wing, Ash Graham and Willie Tonga. How is that JT's fault?

Once the team stands up around him, we see what happens. Please look at 2005 and 2007 when we actually had a few players performing, not just JT and the odd good performance from Tonga, Bowen (who will get better after more gametime), Bolton and Matty Scott, Matty Scott is consistent but we need athletic forwards.

Once JT gets the cattle around him, we will really see if he such a good player. He will have Tate and Tonga in the centres, fast wingers, a new set of forwards who aren't lazy hacks and can move sideways to stop easy line breaks.

And personally you look like an absolute idiot... in that aren't you saying that Rob Lui, Ben Hornby and Brett Seymour are the best halfbacks in the game.

On a side note, most of that shit you have just dribbled has nothing to do with being consistent...?

Yelling at the refs has absolutely nothing to do with being consistent or not.
