Very, very impressive performance. Like you said the offense was moving so quickly and at times UCLA was at sixes and sevens trying to contain them.

Whats doing with the play cards though? Laughing

Haha the play cards were great. The pictures on them were of sports personalities from ESPN, one of them was of the play by play commentator from today's game (Reece Davis). I guess they use them as it might just be the easiest way to remember which plays to use. Plus obviously, the opposition has no idea what they mean.

Do they use them every week or was it just something special coz you were on primetime TV?

To be honest I'm not exactly sure. But we were on ESPN against Stanford and they weren't used so if I had to guess I'd say it was just for the game today. Thursday Night Football is like Friday night football in the AFL, everyone is watching.

Still amazed at the crowds that these college games get.

Yeah they're quite amazing. The biggest NFL you'll see is around 98,000 and that's the Washington Redskins. There's at least 6-8 teams in College Football that get 100,000 plus to their games. It's unbelievable. Nebraska has sold out every home game since 1964.

As for LaMichael James, I'd say he'd be second favorite for the Heisman Trophy behind Cam Newton from Auburn.

Cam Newton is an absolute freak. To be able to make plays on the ground as he does, with that size, it's just phenomenal.

For the first time since 1960, the No. 1 ranked team has lost three weeks in a row. First it was Alabama going down at South Carolina, then it was Ohio State at Wisconsin, today it was Oklahoma at Missouri. What does that say for Oregon as they go to LA to play the USC Trojans next week? Well, let's just say the Ducks are hoping to avoid the trend.

This is ANOTHER reason you just gotta love College Football.

Well what more can be said than it was another massive day of College Football.

Another seven ranked teams going down today, starting at the top with No. 1 ranked Oklahoma going down at Missouri. Other ranked teams to lose included No. 6 LSU at No. 4 Auburn, No. 15 Iowa at home to No. 13 Wisconsin, No. 14 Oklahoma State at home to No. 16 Nebraska, No. 22 Kansas State losing to Baylor, No. 20 West Virginia going down to Syracuse and finally the No. 19 Texas Longhorns suffering an embarrassing loss to Iowa State, a week after knocking off then No. 5 Nebraska.

On some of the big games today, Cam Newton showed why he's the Heisman Trophy favorite leading Auburn to a very close 24-17 win over LSU. Not only did he rush for 218 yards, he also had 2 TD's. He's simply a beast and I'm sure Urban Meyer is still scratching his head saying we had this guy not long ago.

Obviously the biggest result of the day was the No. 1 ranked Oklahoma going down at Missouri. One of the main reasons why Missouri won was that not only did they get a great individual performance from QB Blaine Gabbert, but the ability to run the ball was also vital. Add to that, Oklahoma while coming into the game at 6-0, they simply don't play anywhere near as well away from home.

As for the other undefeated teams, Michigan State survived thanks to a late rally at Northwestern to win 35-27, the Utah Utes juggernaut rolled on with a very impressive 59-6 win over Colorado State and TCU thrashed Air Force 38-7. Their defense again coming up huge.

That now leaves us with seven undefeated teams. Those being Oregon, Boise State, Auburn, TCU, Missouri, Michigan State and Utah.

Absolutely. His ability to run with the ball is unbelievable. Just awesome mobility. And for anyone that questions his throwing, it's pretty darn good as well. Just watch the Kentucky game a couple of weeks back and some of the throws he was completing.

So what do we all think the new BCS Standings will look like?

Surely Oregon goes to No. 1 with Oklahoma losing. The Sooners will drop out of the top 10 no doubt. Probably somewhere around 13-14. Boise State don't play until Wednesday, but I still think Auburn goes ahead of them into No. 2.

Also, that game between TCU and Utah in a couple of weeks is getting more mouthwatering by the minute. The Horned Frogs have an awesome D, but the Utes boast a really strong offense and have won 20 straight at home. Plus, the Utes do have to play at Notre Dame, and while I don't rate the Fighting Irish, it seems that no matter how bad that program is playing, it's still regarded as a signature win.

My Top 15:

1. Oregon
2. Auburn
3. Boise State
4. TCU
5. Michigan State
6. Missouri
7. Alabama
8. Ohio State
9. Utah
10. Wisconsin
11. Stanford
12. Nebraska
13. Oklahoma
14. Arizona
15. LSU

That looks about right; it's going to be very interesting if we end the season with 4 or 5 undefeated teams. Controversy guaranteed.

I wish that the Golden Bears played at home every week. They are extremely good at home; stout D, great rushing attack and Riley's numbers look fantastic. Shane Vereen will probably be off the draft board by the end of the 2nd round if he's in the draft next year, and Keenan Allen is a freak. He's a guy to watch in the future.

Well two of Boise State, TCU and Utah should. Auburn, Missouri, Oregon and Michigan State all have tough roads ahead.

As for your Golden Bears, it's the exact reason I'm worried about the game against you guys. You're playing super well at home, and we're coming to Berkeley in a three weeks and don't have a good record at all.

If you can navigate this week and avoid the streak of #1 teams getting the yips, you'd have to be clearcut favourites, even on the road at Cal.

We'd definitely be the favorites, but it's a bigger danger game than most would expect.

Not surprised that Auburn has gone to #1 in the country. It's purely based on the computers and considering that's how they do the BCS Standings, I have no arguments. Auburn has beaten four teams ranked in the top 25 whereas we've only beaten one. I am surprised however, that Oklahoma managed to stay in the top 10, especially ahead of Ohio State. Again, I guess they've beaten better teams that the Buckeyes have.

As for my Ducks, Ted Miller from ESPN said it best in his blog. Of five remaining games, Arizona are in the top 15, Oregon State should be a top 25 team, plus games on the road against USC and CAL (who are 4-0 at home this year and 37-6 it's past 43 games). Oregon's schedule is at it's toughest now, whereas Auburn has now gone through their toughest stretch of games although their toughest game will come at Alabama next month.

Also, big night for Boise State on Wednesday against Louisana Tech. It's on national TV in the US so the Broncos will need to win big and put up the "style points" to keep themselves ahead of TCU, who are closing.

Great debate on ESPN about the edition 2 BCS Rankings. This is what makes the sport so interesting, everyone's opinion is so different.

Tuesday Night Football: #3 Boise State def. Louisana Tech 49-20

Another win for the Broncos so they now go to 7-0, but will this impress the voters? Probably not. If you have a look at the TCU Horned Frogs, they're belting teams and not giving up points. The Horned Frogs have only given up 10pts in their last four games.

Yep. They run some great D, one of the best units in college ball for sure.

Yeah definitely. I'd love to see another Boise State vs. TCU game this year, but then again, I'd love them to be tested against a 'Bama, Ohio State, Auburn or Oregon.

What an absolute disgrace ESPN are. On Sunday morning, instead of getting the Oregon @ USC ABC Prime Time game at 11am, instead we're getting Auburn @ Ole Miss at 9am, then Colorado @ Oklahoma at 12:15pm with Oregon @ USC on ESPN HD which I don't have. Not fucking happy at all.

#2 Oregon def. USC 53-32

Well obviously, I'm absolutely thrilled with our win over the Trojans today. Grin

Simply, from what I've read of course as unfortunately I don't have ESPN HD, we just wore the Trojans down in the second half (like we do most teams). I remember checking the scores and we were up 29-17 at HT then when I checked again and USC was 32-29 up and I couldn't believe it. Luckily though, in QB Darren Thomas, RB LaMichael James and WR Jeff Maehl who had a career night, we able able to regain the lead and never looked back. Simply some monster numbers from the trio mentioned above, Thomas throwing 4 TD's and 288 yards and 19/32, LaMichael James rushing for 239 yards and 3 TD's and Jeff Maehl having 8 receptions, 145 yards and 3 TD's.

A few stats of note from today's game that really were the reason behind our win today I thought. Darron Thomas' threw for an average of 9 yards per completed pass, that's simply a ridiculous number. LaMichael James averaged 6.6 yards per rush and Maehl a staggering 18.1 yards per reception. Also, we were 13-19 on 3rd down conversions, another huge stat.

So we're now 8-0, and four W's away from an almost certain BCS National Championship berth. Next week we host the Washington Huskies at Autzen Stadium. The Huskies (3-5) are coming off a 41-0 whipping at the hands of the Stanford Cardinal.
