NRL has changed rapidly over the years and the partnership between the wing and the centre positions have turned to a valuable one. Having someone that you trust beside you whenever defending gives you much more confidence and you'll be much more reassured.

The most potent wing-centre combination in the league currently, to me, is the Dragons' #2 and #4; Morris and Cooper. That's where all the Dragons' tries usually come from and Brett Morris usually takes all the credit as he is one of the game's best finisher. This partnership can not only attack dangerously, but they're both solid in defence. Though in Origin, they didn't show it at all, at club level, certainly their oppositions don't target their side of the field.

Other notable wing-centre combinations include

Gordon and Jennings
Uate and Sa'u
Merritt and Champion
Talanoa and Best
Tuqiri and Lawrence
Perrett and Kenny-Dowall
Robertson and Matai
Yow Yeh and Folau

plus a whole lot more. What are your thoughts on this ?

gotta agree and the amount of tries they score down that left hand side prove the point. Even having cooper out has shown what impact the combination has, as we havent looked the same in attack since

If the Bronco's were at full strength, Hodges/Folau would be the best.

I think the Dragons duo of Cooper/Morris is the best, followed by Jennings/Gordon. I think the 2nd rowers on there side play a bit part too, Creagh/Pritchard respectively help out the above 2 wing/centre combinations.

Ropati/Vatuvei are a solid pair too. Croker/Monaghan could be dangerous too.

Can't disagree there. B Morris/Cooper partnership is a great one. Shame it didn't work as well as it did in club for NSW...

I reckon if there was a chance for a.....Tuiaki/Tuqiri wing/centre combination, that would have to be a strong and attacking combo.

When Ropati and Vatuvei are on form they can be very dangerous, definitely deserve a mention. There definitely is no 'Gidley-Tahu' like combination in the NRL at the moment.
