Royal can get the eff outta here. I dont know if its a confidence thing for Locke, but he just isn't performing. Ah Van could come in but Moon was playing good before Tate came back. Seymour/Maloney have only played a handful of full games together, but they look to be getting better each week. Good news too Rapira should be back for the Titans game.

RD 20 TEAM
1. Hohaia
2. Tate
3. Moon

Why would you play Tate on the wing? I would rather keep Locke there or even play Bill Tupou on the wing and keep Tate in the centres

Tate played there before he got injured. Locke went off today so he maybe 50/50 next week. Moon was playing good before Tate came back and deserves another shot imo.

How good has Lewis Brown been this season! That guy better be in the Kiwis 4 Nations squad. Would be one of our top players this season, I'd say him, Hohaia and Rapira before he got injured are our top 3.

The New Zealand Warriors today said it had pulled out of trying to sign centre Steve Matai from fellow National Rugby League club Manly.

Chief executive Wayne Scurrah said the Warriors were keen to recruit the Kiwi international.

However, Matai, who comes off contract at the end of the season, had indicated throughout the negotiations that he wanted to stay with the Sea Eagles if possible.

''We haven't heard from his manager since making our final offer and have now withdrawn it,'' Scurrah said.

The Warriors have so far made three additions to their squad for next season - Paramatta pair Feleti Mateo and Krisnan Inu, and Junior Warrior Steve Rapira, who is returning after two years with from North Queensland.

Meanwhile, promising forwards Ben Matulino and Ukuma Ta'ai are both extending their stay with the Warriors.

Matulino, 21, was off contract at the end of next year, but has agreed to an new deal that will keep him at the club until the end of 2013.

Ta'ai, 23, who was off contract at the end of this season, will be back next year, with the club having an option on him for 2010.

Coach Ivan Cleary said Matulino and Ta'ai had impressed with their progress this season.

''Ben is still a young man but has already played more than 50 NRL matches and played test football for the Kiwis, and he has been a really solid performer for us this season,'' he said.

''Ukuma has also shown a lot of improvement since making his debut at this level last year. He's a player who is a real threat to opposition defences and one who has the potential to become a lot better yet.''

Matulino is one of only three players who has appeared in each of the Warriors' 19 matches so far this season, while Ta'ai has played 14 times.

Good, we didnt need to waste cap on him anyway.

1. Hohaia
2. Inu
3. Moon
4. Ropati
5. Vatuvei
6. Maloney
7. Seymour

Locke/Tupou/Ah Van to back up. Brown/Mannering next options. Fisiahi/Ah Van/Niko our last resorts. Still fairly happy with those options.

What we need is a prop. Looks like Matulino may shift up front full time soon and Ta'ai looks to be a prop/backrower atm. Leaving Luck/Mannering/Rapira/Mateo/Brown/Lousi to fight for the 4 backrow spots.

If Moon got a gig before Locke I'd be throwing shit. I would take Locke any day of the week over a player like Moon. Just shift Inu to centres and Locke on the wing. KL doesn't deserve to be rotting away in reserves while Joel Moon is ahead of him.

Moon did awesome and was key in our good defence when Tate was out and when we won a few in a row.

Inu got showed up at centre a few weeks back on defence and if he played centre with Locke on the flank (possibly Maloney/Seymour inside them) than the opposition would just run rings around our right side.

I do agree Locke is too good to be playing reserve footy and he will definitely be amongst it, was just stating that im happy with those players in our team and dont need to sign Matai.

Yeah i know what you mean. I still think Matai would've fitted in nicely though and a good replacement for Tate. Personally, I'd choose Locke over Inu any day.
