Willie Ripia signed with the Force for two seasons. Adam Wallace-Harrison signed with the Reds, as well as Radike Samo signing a one year deal.

And I read an article a while back which said Rupeni Caucaunibuca was in talks with the Brumbies.

Genia to NZ is all talk, taken out of context by a Journo's question and Genia giving a typical indirect answer.

yeah I heard about that one too, but apparently he still has two more years on his contract at Agen.

would be great to see him playing in the super 15 though, he was a freak in his prime but he's passed it and he certainly has put on a few pounds.

Wonder where Will Genia would go? Highlanders have Cowan, Hurricanes have Weepu, Blues have Mathewson which would be the top 3. Doubt the Chiefs would get him...hmm perhaps another massive signing for the Crusaders?

Oh and great work Gear 2, cheers for the updates.

As I said, the Genia move is all speculation and media beat-up - I don't see him going anywhere outside of Aus for a while yet.

Read today that Manawatu's Nick Crosswell and Aaron Smith have signed with the Highlanders for 2011. Cross was in the Hurricanes this year, starting twice (once each at openside and blindside) and on the bench for a fair few more due to fairly regular injuries to the likes of So'oialo and Waldrom/Lowe. Smith was in the wider training squad for the Blues and was in the NZ Maori squad, starting in the final match against England. Neither forsee any real chance of regular duties for the Hurricanes so they're off to the deep south to join the Highlanders.

Sonny Bill Williams-Toloun to Crusaders
Adam Thompson -Highlanders to Crusaders
Colin Slade-Crusaders to Highlanders

The Crusaders might as well sign the All Blacks, the above 3 they have got are surely going to make them favourites.

I think Slade may make a difference down at the Highlanders, they may do better than what some may think.

I thought Thomson had confirmed he was staying with the Highlanders?

Dagg's a punk just like his bum-buddy Guildford; running to the Crusaders cause they think it writes them a free pass into the ABs - guess what, Guildford's shit now...funny that!!

I reckon the Highlanders should sign Richard Buckman, he'd be our 3rd best player this season for the Magpies, behind Hika Elliot and Khan Fotuali'i. He's extremely versatile, can play anywhere in the back-line except halfback. Decent goal kicker, great attacker and solid defender. Would slip in nicely at the Highlanders as a replacement for either Dagg or Shoemark.

Yea Thompson has been confirmed to be staying with the Higlanders they have also picked up Tenusa Veainu, Siali Piutau,Lima Sopanga and Kurt Baker.
also the Blue have signed Sherwin Stowers on a two year contract and Fritz Lee has signed with the Chiefs and also The Blues and The Hurricanes are fighting over the signuture of Boden Barrett if the Blues cant sign him then they most likely sign up young Auckland Fly Half Greth Anscombe. And also David Hall has been trowin a lifline by the Crusaders and will back up Corey Flynn next season.

Great news today, with the Chiegs announcing they have signed a 37 year old Tana Umaga for next years Super 14. He will turn 38 in May next year when the SUper 14 is still running.

Awesome to see an all time great getting another run. His knowledge and experience will be invaluable.

For those not aware, Tana has been a player/coach at Counties Manukau this year in the ITM Cup.

Would have preferred Tana to go to a team that needs him more. The Higlanders would have been ideal.

Highlanders need Experience in their young backline. But as you said it is great too see him get picked up by a Super 15 side.

Gillies Kaka has massive potential, I also reckon he'd make a great league fullback. Don't know if he's made enough of an impression this season to earn a contract but he'll I reckon he'll get one after next season. He's no Buckman Smile
