Two things 1. How was Te'o not considered.

2. How did the PM pick the squad, we don't have one at the moment.

1. How do you know he wasn't considered, I'm sure he was considered, he just wasn't selected.

2. It's not like cricket, the PM doesn't actually pick the team, the team just plays for and under the PM's name, and we do technically have a PM, albeit in caretaker capacity only.

They represent the PM, hence they are called the PM's XVII, same as Toyota doesn't pick the Cowboys even though we're called the Mike Carney Toyota Cowboys.

And besides, it's only the final team the PM would pick anyway, not the initial squad, so even if (now she) did pick the side she'd be able to now wouldn't she.

That doesn't mean anything, I've seen Willie Tonga out and about in the last few weeks when he was injured, he looked fine, he still wasn't right to play though.....

9. Cameron Smith/Robbie Farah
10. David Taylor
11. Sam Thaiday

Based on players that are atm not under an injury cloud, this is the team I'd pick.

1. Slater
2. Hayne
3. Tate
4. Tonga
5. Boyd
6. Lockyer
7. Prince
8. Petro
9. Smith
10. Shillington
11. Myles
12. Thaiday
13. Gallen

14. Carney
15. Scott

The team i'd like to see, but probably won't see:

1. Billy Slater
2. Lote Tuqiri
3. Brent Tate
4. Willie Tonga
5. Darius Boyd
6. Darren Lockyer
7. Johnathan Thurston (if fit)/ Scott Prince or Cooper Cronk (if not)
8. Petero Civoniceva
9. Cameron Smith
10. Matt Scott
11. Sam Thaiday
12. Paul Gallen
13. Greg Bird

14. Kurt Gidley
15. David Shillington
16. Luke Lewis
17. Nate Myles

The Backrow including the 'Bruise Brothers' plus 'I run in 3rd man to protect my brothers' looks epic i reckon!

You'd actually like to see Gidley in the team? Why?

Personally I'd much rather see Carney in the team, at least he's in form and has been doing stuff.....

Haha i think that was just a reflex reaction, im so use to seeing him on the team and he's been there and done it all before but yes he has been a dud lately when it comes to Rep footy. Wouldn't mind seeing Carney there actually.
