Whoever the Grand Finalist's are, they will end up with a lot of Rep player's for the Four Nations.

Not necessarily, back in 05 the Tigers and Cowboys contributed only like 2 players between them.

From the GF Teams I can see the following players being in the squad

Dragons

Boyd
Morris
Gasnier
Weyman
Costigan

Roosters

Carney
Ryles (maybe)
Minichello (Very unlikely but you never know)

Players in bold are a good chance of making the final team.

Roosters have a lot more players likely to be in the Kiwis than in Kangaroos, so it's not like they are going to be under represented.

JWH
Perrett

There's 3.. Cronk, Prince and Thurston... unless you didn't count Thurston cause he's injured?

In the final 25 man squad that will be announced this Monday, i think they will only need 2 halfbacks anyway, we'll that's what they did in the last Four Nations.

Yeah 3 halfbacks is plenty, to many in fact, one of Cronk or Thurston will be cut from the squad when it's cut down to 25 or whatever it is, Thurston if he is still injured, or Cronk if Thurston is fit.

Australia is looking very depleted, compared to what the previous sides have looked like. However, we have depth that can fill in perfectly.

I think he has a good chance actually.

Only centres available (including those in the GF) are:
- Willie Tonga
- Timana Tahu (he is in doubt however)
- Brent Tate
- Jarrod Croker
- Joel Monaghan
- Chris Lawrence
- Mark Gasnier
- Matt Cooper

Don't think Tahu will be ready (injury wise) by then, and even if he is i doubt he'll get selected. Croker i reckon doesn't really have a chance of getting selected (won't make the final 25 either). Doubt Monaghan will get a shot either.

So really it'll be between Tonga, Tate, Lawrence, Gasnier and Cooper. When the selectors are deciding on the final 25 man squad, they will probably only have 3 centres (2 for the actually starting line up and 1 backup). Don't know who they'd select though.

Although Akulia Uate's name isnt in the train-on squad, today the ARL has agreed that Uate is available for Australian selection.

The Australian Squad for the tournament will be announced later today.

Personally, i don't like seeing players play for more than one country. Choose one, and stick with that country.

I'd rather see Carney in the team than Gidley. But I'm not really sure where he'd play when he comes on. He's not exactly a hooker is he. I pretty much agree with that team though.

Haha great minds think alike Laughing

Yeah i can't see the selectors picking Carney, they'll probably stay with the incumbent. Also i think Carney is in doubt with an injury he picked up in the GF. Scott Prince may come in to replace him if he isn't right to go.
