Admittedly that thought was, like 50% kidding Smile

But I remember Donald many times doing just what Cruden did (in provincial and super games - not tests) where he'd be missing kicks all day, only to be handed the tee on fulltime to kick a make or break goal - and nail it.

my more painful memory is when donald single handedly lost that game vs Aus last year. When he came on there was a 14+ point lead and through some royal fk ups of donalds, missing goal, missing touch etc we ended up losing

read an article saying that Quade Cooper is challenging Carter for best 10 in the world...ahem...I'm sorry, but as long as you have to be "hidden" on the wing in defence (as it is widely known the Reds do with Cooper) then you cannot be considered the best.

As much as I would love the Blues to win it this year, I have the feeling that the Bulls may win it again. They are in good form and are coming right at the right time of the year. Could be hard too stop.

As much as I hate the Reds I must admit that they play a exciting game of rugby, more like a Rugby League style. A lot of pointless kicking from the Reds and Crusaders. Dickenson had a strange reffing game. Congrats to the Reds, looks like they will finish the regular season first.

Sonny Bill needs to go to the line more!

Grin

If Cooper had his kicking boots on we would have won pretty comfortably. About time we got some calls go our way... the 'Saders always seem to get so many 50/50 calls go their way. Defence was once again superb from the boys - Samo and Higginbotham were class, Radike was on another planet tonight... pulled off some massive tackles!!

Well said.

However i do like Quade's offence (must be the NZ Maori in him haha), but Carter is top class and probably the best 10 to play the game. A Cooper/Carter partnership at 10/12 would be good to see tho.

Rebels will most likely get an hiding carlton. Will be surprised if they don't lose by less that 30. Enjoy the game tonight anyway mate. Its bloody good seeing a Melbourne side in the Super 15.

Highlanders wearing Green tonight, its a very sad day for Otago rugby. What a joke. Good too hear that alot of the Uni students are boycotting the match!

No idea about the logic behind the colour-change TBH, especially mid-season...

Those boycotting the match just because of this are pathetic though - they can't call themselves true supporters if they're that petty.

On to brighter news - happy to finally watch a winning Canes performance - few and far between they have been...

Nonu was on fire, Cruden looking more and more like the prospect he was before the ABs coaches screwed him over with a pre-mature call-up, Weepu solid in his first start - albeit one where he clearly wasn't confident about taking on the line, Gear looked dangerous but handling let him down, the pack as a unit actually did some work, and Richard Buckman made the field! Smile That'll make Hendo happy!

Stormers and the Blues both losing on the same night, that was a suprise. Tipping the Stormers to finish the round robin first now. The South African teams are firing at the right time of the season. Stormers, Sharks and Bulls all looking the goods.

Yeah was good too see Richard Buckman make the field.

Didn't do anything tbh - was a last minute callup due to Conrad Smith pulling out, not even sure who he replaced tbh...

All good, at least he's getting noticed now. Won't be long till he gets a full time spot in one of the teams. Hurricanes should sign him up before others poach him.

Considering they're stripping the Canes of almost all decent players (read: Hore, Weepu, Nonu, Jane) there'll be space aplenty there next season - not that I'll be supporting them much longer

Looking forward to this weekend of Super Rugby. Can not wait for the Blues Crusaders match. Will be awesome if the Blues can make it 2 from 2 against the Saders in 2011. Another awesome match up I am looking forward to is the Stormers Bulls. Thinking the Bulls may be making a run towards the play offs. Think they may get the chocolates!

So close for the Blues but just not good enough once again. Stephen Brett you are a muppet, I keep the faith in him but he just never can pull a few good performances in a row together. Quite a sloppy game of Rugby in all seriousness. SBW went off after 20 minutes so will be interesting too see how bad the injury is, think it is a hip injury if I am not mistaken.

Good match last night, well...entertaining, not great quality

Rebels got close! but it would've felt wrong to win considering how that second try was awarded, dunno what the referee was thinking!

Didn't expect the Sharks to beat the Bulls earlier this morning and advance to the finals but they did. The two finals next weekend will be the Blues against the Waratahs and Crusaders against the Sharks. The Reds and the Stormers will have the week off due to finishing 1st and 2nd respectively. Who are you all tipping to win the competition now?

I tipping the Crusaders, with all that's gone on in Christchurch over the last few months I reckon they have so much more to play for.

I am tipping the Stormers, they will be hard to beat in South Africa. Crusaders are starting to get very knackered from all the travel they have had to do, will be an outstanding effort if they can get up and win the competition though. Both New Zealand teams should get the win next weekend mainly because home advantage is so important at this time of the year. Hearing that if the Blues can make it through the first weekend of the finals then Toeva may be back the following week, would be a huge boost for the side against either the Stormers or the Reds!
