This is the remarkable footage that shows why Australian halfback Johnathan Thurston is one of the best goalkickers in the business.
Thurston left most of his team-mates stunned when he twice managed to curl the ball between the goalposts from the junction of the sideline and the tryline at Kangaroos training in Manchester on Monday.
And to prove it was no fluke, he did it again on Tuesday in a kick-off with Australian hooker Cameron Smith, who also managed to land a goal from the same spot.
The feats of the Kangaroos stars even attracted players and officials from the Sale Sharks rugby union club, whose ground the Australian team was using for training, out onto a balcony to watch.
"There was a mad wind so a few of the boys were just mucking around and I slotted a few. It was easy," Thurston said.
"It was harder yesterday because there was a massive wind and you had to try and push the ball out there and swing it back."
After placing the ball on a kicking tee just inside the in-goal line and curving it back between the posts, Thurston turned to the official NRL cameraman at training and said: "Did you get that on camera. That's one for YouTube that."
The footage was posted on the NRL's website and has been picked up by England's largest-selling newspaper The Sun.
