Not necessarily but I can't really afford flash 17yos.

Combined with my utter noobness of what specifically to train and well, enough said ... (Yes, I still remember the helpful website)

Done.

Now, just so I know what I'm doing:

Colin Mills
17 years old | 18,719 CSR | 191 cm | 91 kg | Australia
Right handed, right footed, in satisfactory form, and energised energy levels.
A collected player with controlled discipline, satisfactory leadership, and non-existent experience.
Stamina: Average Handling: Decent
Attack: Satisfactory Defense: Average
Technique: Limited Strength: Moderate
Jumping: Satisfactory Speed: Impressive
Agility: Decent Kicking: Reputable

Now, I'm using him as a scrumhalf. With this site as reference:

http://blackoutrugbyaustralia.freeforums.org/picking-your-team-a-guide-to-the-positions-t36.html

Quote :
Number 9 : Scrum Half

The scrum half handles the ball at most breakdowns, thus provides the team with the platform to build attacking moves off. So a key here is that he has the skills to do so. As well the scrumhalf does a lot of pick and go's, which mean at times he acts like a 9th forward. Kicking is also important as the scrumhalf may try and kick the ball away when under pressure, no matter if he has the skills to go with it or not!

Key Skills: Attack, Handling, Kicking - less extent strength.

Kicking's the only good thing about Mills. With that in mind, I've given 2-session blocks of Attack and Handling to get him to a decent level. Right/Wrong? Should I give him Strength as well?

He looks good - IMO handling is the most important skill for a halfback though so you'll wanna get that up.

Strength is good if you play a high PNG game since the 9 gets involved in that as well.

Would be a reasonable midfield trainee - but would need some pretty serious training in some areas - especially stamina.

I'm waiting for the new S7 reporting tools to come out and if they don't indicate some previously unnoticed gems in my YA I'm canning it. Theirs just no way I'm recovering the 800k it costs me to run it every season
