The Hurricanes have multiple halfback combinations open to them this season, all relatively untested and one would need to be decided on fairly quickly to ensure stability for the season.
Who would you pick if you were Colin Cooper?
Personally I would go with the Weepu / Ripia combo. Both have shown the goods and Weepu needs to remain at HB in my opinion as not only is he better there, but playing too much at 10 will hamper his AB chances since he's never going to get to play 10 with DC around, and the coaches likely won't take the chance of playing him there so long as Donald or Brett produce the goods.
Add to it that Mathewsone is much more explosive off the bench later in the game and Weepu can always shift out mid-game if Ripia/Kirkpatrick are strugging...
