Is Antony Boric ready to step up and take over from Thorne

I say yes he is I see that Thorne is 33 now and Boric had a good game against scotland nad never lets anyone down also it is good to have that combination with williams as well and especially while mealamu is first choice hooker.

I actually don't rate Boric that highly at all. I think his skillset is still too limited and he's too green to boot. Maybe more regular game time with the Blues next year will improve that, but right now I do not believe he is our 3rd best lock at all.

A bit up in the air - Eaton CAN be if he can get back up to speed, on his pre-injury form he certain would be. Otherwise Filipo. Thrush is nipping at their heels too.

Personally, I'd rate our locks in the following order:

1. Williams
2. Thorn
3. Filipo
4. Eaton
5. Boric
6. Thrush

I dont think we have seen the last of Jason Eaton in an All Black jersey. He will have a lot to prove in next years Super 14 but I think he will earn his spot

Yeah I rate Eaton as well but i dont rate Filipo at all

I would think if thorne retired at the end of this tour then the three locks to play each test would be williams, boric and eaton.

Also i notice Ali's younger brother is in the blues next year what do you guys think of him as a possible future all black

I'd agree with you there Hendo. Especially working with Thrush who is pushing his own case. Eaton's poor form this year was largely due to slow recovery.

Time will tell.

As for Jay Williams - he's not his brother by any stretch. That may change in time though.

North harbour were missing a lot of key players throughout the campaign, and were led by Jimmy Gopperth - they were doomed from the start!

Jeremy Thrush should of made the squad, he outshined Eaton during the Super 14 and continued to play well throughout the ANZC. In my opinion the order of locks would be:

1. Ali
2. Thorn
3. Thrush
4. Boric
5. Filipo

Mising Out: Donnelly, Eaton, O'Neil (SHC Old Boy Very Happy )
