I am not doubting he may be better than leonard but he is not seen that way. Henry only likes him cause he can fill more positions

Bullshit, the only other position that Weepu can cover is fly half, and Henry clearly has no intention of moving him there, if he did then why put McAlister on the bench??

George Smith is better than McCaw.

3 Best Super14 Player awards in a row and based on the fact he is better.

Your a tool mate. Do you not have a grasp on the concept of English and opinions?

I'll give you facts.

George Smith:
July 14, 1980 (age 29)
100 Tests
106 Matches for Brumbies
Most Capped Flanker in History of Rugby
Super 14 Player of the Year 3 Years running
Brumbies Players player 5 years running
Wallabies Team of the Decade
Captain of Australia

Richie McCaw:
December 31, 1980 (age 28)
70 Tests
83 Matches for Crusaders
Captain of New Zealand
2006 IRB player of the year

Oh and btw, there is no point comparing them. Smith is a blindside, McCaw is an openside.

Oh, and as for your comment regarding him being the best player in the world....

Haha Damo, u have to be kidding me! McCaw is the best player in the world. An All Blacks team without McCaw struggled against the French, an ABs team with McCaw bet George Smith and The Wallabies.

All those stats you provided only prove one thing, that being George Smith is Australias best number 7. This one 2006 IRB player of the year proves McCaw is better.

and last I checked Stirling Mortlock was the current Wallabies captain? and George Smith is a openside flanker, hence why he wears the no.7 jersey.

I think you should stay out of the Rugby Forum, save yourself from future embarrassment. Even Venom knows more than you Laughing

Save yourself mate, George Smith is known as a blindside, it is only recently he has switched to Openside.

Wow, a team with McCaw beat the Wallabies.. Mate, where was that match? Oh yeah, in a place where we haven't won in like 25 years or some shit.

And, yes, I realise that Mortlock is captain, I meant to put Smith Captained.

Oh and keyword of that argument, (2006 IRB Player).

In my opinion, Dan Carter is the best player in the world.

The only reason Smith played 6 is because Aussie had two quality opensides in Waugh and him, so one had to move. This move Aussie have tried plenty of times, using two openside flankers to shut down McCaw. This fails more often than not, because McCaw is just so much stronger.

Aussie haven't won a Bledisloe since retaining it in 2002, this drought for Aussie is largely due to McCaw having so much domination over the Aussies in the breakdown. McCaw is key and I guarantee a majority of rugby fanatics wouldn't think twice when picking McCaw in a current world XV

Where did I say I wouldn't pick him in currently world XV? Also, I said he is one of the best, not the best.

I'd have Smith at blind and McCaw at Open. Burger would also be number 8.

Go look at some rugby history mate, he used to play blindside. I was also going of rugby profiles etc. as well. And I admit, I haven't watched many tests lately due to work, but hey, support your kiwi bro's. You put up a good argument. My comments are hilarious, yet you only point out one? Why don't you debate, instead of justing posting abuse on the back on an intelligent post by someone else. It seems you are the one acting like a 14 year old girl.

I thought I told you already Damo, Smith moved to blindside because Aussie had Waugh and Smith, who were both opensides, and the best loose forwards they had at the time. So they tried starting both of them. This failed, as they couldn't stop Richie.
