Steinlager Salver for an Outstanding Contribution to New Zealand Rugby Tane Norton
Kelvin R. Tremain Memorial Player of the Year Andrew Hore
Some very interesting selections - Hore did indeed have a superb year throughout, and moving from the 3rd choice hooker last year straight into 1st choice this year is a big achievement. His award could definitely be argued, but deserving nonetheless.
Weepu for Maori player of the year is pretty succinct, no others in the Maori team really stood out as much as he did.
ANZ player Mackintosh is well deserved - main competition would've been Hosea Gear - maybe the didn't want the Canes to get all the glory?
Jokes - Mackintosh had a superb season so well done Whopper!
ABs and Henry for Team and Coach of the year? Honest, I would've said 'Titch' and the Sevens team should've got it - but hey.
Well done all - Rugby can take a break now and we will resume early next year.
