But that would be a stupid move, we need Carter where he's best as a play making fly half.

Donald shouldn't get the bench spot, should go to someone more versatile like Cory Jane.

We Go Well in Sydney (I Think). Will this be the moment Robbie Deans earns his keep or will this be the Loss that starts a sack Deans campaign. Kiwi's Like seeing Punter's face when he loses well Aussies (this Aussie anyway) like seeing Henry's melon after a loss i hope i see it this weekend.

my 22

1. Woodcock
2. Hore
3. Mackintosh
4. Thorn
5. Ross (possibly been ABs best so far this season)
6. Kaino
7. Mccaw
8. So'oilao
9. Cowan
10. Carter
11. Sivi
12. Nonu
13. Smith
14. Gear
15. Muliaina (miles ahead of any other fullback, top 5 players in the country)

16. Elliot
17. Franks
18. Donnelly (better than eaton, wouldn't stand a chance if Williams was fit)
19. Messam
20. Weepu
21. Mcalister (can play 12 and 10 more of a logical choice then just having a specialist 10)
22. Jane (cover for wing and fullback)

weepu is a better 10 than mcallister hendo. delaney would crap on anyone other than carter right now. fact!
and mils has been average as all year. you cant put him in there when he continues to run it back half heartedly, losing the ball alot. and also kicking not when he should and when he does poorly

You cant just start Macintosh at tighthead!!!!!! not the same position just because prop can be found somewhere in each name.
Ross is stilll weak as, you just like him because he looks good in broken play. We have backs for that. Locks should be winning lineouts and hitting rucks hard like Thorn does. He is no way near the ABs best, not even their
best lock. Mils is way out of form, Jane deserves a chance. Mils would
be lucky to be in top 3 fullbacks in country at the moment. Sivi doesnt even try his hardest, a sad state of affairs when so many others would give anything to be in the All Blacks. So'oialo on the way down

Yea but Delaney is a 10 possibly fullback but you've got your FB cover from Dagg. If Nonu gets injured who would you move to 12? Carter? but then why move the best player in the world out of his prefered position? Delaney has played well so far in the Air NZ Cup but I very much doubt he could get dropped in the trinations and perform. If he continues with the way he's going chuck him in the end of year tour for sure.

I have to disagree with Mils, although he hasn't been in the best form, he is an essential part of that ABs side, was the best FB for a nz team in the super 14 and I could never drop him, unless he got as shit as Joe.

Atleast Ross has been threatning in attack, and he has been dropped in deep end, being inexperienced and having to make the calls in the lineouts. You'd think the more experienced lock would step up and take on that roll.

Always mix up Mackintosh, swap him around with Franks then Very Happy

and the lineouts, you have to put some blame on Hore and Mealamu aswell, their timing has been off and they have not been hitting their targets.

Having a few runs in broken play doesnt make him the best player in the All Blacks. As usual you are guilty of getting caught up watching only ball in hand stuff and forgetting the hard work forwards also have to do. Yea their throwing has been average, would be a good idea to have Hika start because he is the best thrower around. Don't quite see why Mils is an essential part of that team. He would be if he was safe as houses under the highball and threatening on attack but currently he is neither of those.

Dropping Mils would be a huge call and IMO Jane is more dangerous on the wing in a test than FB. Mils is also in the unenviable position of being a last line of defence on a backpeddling and fumbling team so can hardly have too much blame dumped on him.

As for the locks - while chris is right - you need to remember that you need 1 'tough' lock and 1 'aerial' lock - thorn is the former whilst ross is the latter and I fully endorse those two as our best locks currently in Williams' absence.

I think your just missing out on what Ross has been doing, he has been getting stuck into those rucks and mauls!

See the bigger plan, to win the WC! Why drop awesome players like Mils, who at his best is the best Fullback in the world just because of a couple of bad games, thats very 2006 of you isnt it? and look how great switching the team around worked then.

Same goes for So'oialo bit of a drop in form and he gets thrown to the bench, and for who? Reuben Thorne number 2, another nothing man to come out of Canterbury.

1. Woodcock, 2. Hore/Mealamu 3. Hayman, 4. Thorn, 5. Williams, 6. Kaino, 7. McCaw, 8. So'oialo, 9. Cowan, 10. Carter, 11. Sivi, 12. Nonu/McAlister, 13. Smith/Kahui, 14. ???? 15. Muliaina - 16. ????, 17. Tialata, 18. Ross, 19. Messam, 20. Weepu, 21. McAlister, 22. Jane

that is the side that will win us the WC in 2011, thats if we stick with that side. Let them find the form they are all potential of, and let them build combinations with each other.

You just love your Reuben Thorne 2 line, should put it as underneath your Deans Henry score. Maybe Ross has been in the rucks and mauls, but not very effective because he is weak compared to someone like Thorn. Thats why I like Willys team having Donnely who is a much tougher and physical unit. As for Jane being more dangerous on the wing, he has barely had a chance at fullback so it is rubbish. Wasn't 2006 rotation? Not dropping players if they played badly. The All Blacks isn't the place players should be trying to find form, look at Joe. It doesnt work like that. Players should be picked on how good they are, not what their name is (Mils).

The point I am trying to make, with Mils is that when he is at his best, like he was last year and throughout the Super 14 this year he is the best FB in the World, it wasn't till he got called up as captain for the ABs that his form started to drop, the added pressure obviously effected his game. Still give a decent opportunity to reach his potential.

I like using 'Reuben Thorne 2' because it is the best way to describe Read. I'd rather have Latimer, Thompson or Messam in the 22 over him.

yes, 2006 was rotation, which meant not sticking to one squad, same thing your suggesting we do here.
