Just walked past Richie and DC tonight - was running from work as was late to meet up with my wife, saw 2 guys ahead of me in tracksuit tops, didn't consider who they were and said 'excuse me' as i lightly pushed between them; as I ran off I looked behind me as I heard something and saw it was Richie and DC!!

Should of taken them out P'Rus!

Magpies didn't have the ideal first half behind 16-17 at the break. Couple of mean scrums though, second one got us a penalty try...I love a good scrum!

Not overly happy with the Magpies performance last nights, we should of won by more then 2. Tasman definitely outplayed us in the first half, we were a lot stronger in the second though. Scrums were good to watch, both teams dominating at times. Think Newland should of stayed on. 28-26 Final Score.

Otago also smashed Northland 29-7, Michael Witt playing his first Air New Zealand Cup game. Came off the bench to cover Second Five with 15mins left.

Haha I've been looking up some info on this after seeing you guys getting into it, and I found that Wellington has been in every final of the Air NZ Cup but lost every time Laughing

Yea 2006 lost to Waikato, 2007 lost to Auckland. Those two losses were expected, Wellington should of beaten Canterbury in the 2008 final though.

Yeah, although Canterbury went into the match as favourites still. 2008 really was supposed to be the Lions' year, but they went downhill after winning the ranfurly shield

Man...that was embarrassing...

Wellington just had the same problem they always have - they don't have the siege-mentality to perform in those crunch matches, especially against Canterbury. They're scared of them...you see it in the missed tackles, lack or urgency, and forced offloads...

Oh well - kudos to a deserving Cantebury - here's hoping they don't hog it for years on end like they did last time

I turned the game off at about 19-0 as I could see it was going to be a thrashing. Briefly flicked back and saw it was 36-0 - flicked off again Smile

2 late tries are little consolation - but oh well...moving on I guess...

haha I missed the game unfortunately well fortunately. Although Wellington isn't my fav team I am pretty gutted, as I do hate Canterbury. Shit result by the Lions, expected much closer score line, once again this proves the importance of DC and Richie to any team.

Heres Canterburys home games remaining:

Otago on the 12th Sept
Taranaki on the 18th Sept
Northland on the 26th Sept
Manawatu on the 9th Oct
Southland on the 22 Oct

See maybe Southland take it, but by then, wont the ABs be back?
