| How does Smalling warrant a spot in there? And Bothroyd is questionable, sure he is doing well in the Championship. But International Football is a whole different ball game. | |

And on Smalling when he has been given a shot he has looked really good, if that warrents a spot in the England team then so be it. Personally i would say he isn't ready but it's not like he is going to play anyway, he's probably being groomed as englands long term CB.

I agree but he is playing for the U21s anyway.. Carroll should be playing for the 21s but the lack of strikers has him in the senior squad.. Albrighton wouldn't get a game i don't think with the quality of the wide men in the team so atleast he will get gametime with the 21s.

| Barcelona & Qatar Foundation agree £125m shirt deal Barcelona have ended their long term stance of refusing commercial shirt sponsorship by signing a record £125m deal with the Qatar Foundation. The Catalan giants have paid to carry the Unicef logo for the last five years and the children's charity will share shirt space with the new sponsors. The deal will be worth £25m a year from next season through until 2016 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/europe/9276343.stm More money for Fabby now i'm guessing | |

So here's my first crack
http://www.thebigtip.com.au/football/why-arsenal-need-buy-transfer-window We don't need a midfielder Tealio. And if Fabianski keeps playing well, a keeper isn't needed right away unless someone quality pops up at a really good price. Bendtner will go pretty soon I reckon and JET will just step up. Hope we get Samba, a back 4 of Sagna - Samba - Verm - Clichy could be awesome if all play well.

| Asian Cup is coming up as some of us will be well aware of. Anyway even though it seems like we have very limited chat atm, reckon we should all contribute to this...at least, all the Aussie fans should.
Any certain way you guys want to go about this, or just go with the flow? I reckon a thread for each group for general chat, results, etc. and then probably a thread for each Socceroos game seeing as they'll obviously get by far the most chat.
I would also run some sort of a tipping comp, but I'm going away for a week in late January so I won't be able to do results then, unless someone can help out.
Thoughts? | |
